Estepona has rightfully earned the title of “The Garden of the Costa del Sol.” Its white streets, adorned with thousands of colorful flowerpots, have transformed its historic center into a veritable open-air museum.

If you arrive with a fully charged phone and are looking for the perfect photo for your feed, these are the must-see spots on your route (and the best place to recharge afterward).

1. Calle San Ana: The Explosion of Flowerpots

This is arguably the most iconic street. The contrast between the white walls and the brightly colored flowerpots creates a symmetrical perspective that Instagram loves.

Photo tip: Position yourself in the middle of the street and use portrait mode to add depth to the row of flowers.

2. María Cintrano Passage: A Fairytale Corner

This little alley is pure magic. Its walls are covered in flowers and meticulous details that make it look like it’s straight out of a postcard from another era. It’s the ideal spot for close-up photos or an outfit check with a rustic backdrop.

3. The Mural Route: Art on a Grand Scale

Although there are more than 60 murals, the “Fishing Day” mural (which covers six building facades) is a must-see. Capturing the scale of this urban art will give your profile a modern and cultural touch that contrasts with the floral style of the rest of the old town.

4. Plaza de las Flores: The Vibrant Heart

Not only is it the nerve center, but its central fountain and the facades of the stately homes that surround it offer a beautiful open view. It’s the perfect place to capture the essence of Mediterranean life.

5. The Orchidarium: Cutting-Edge Architecture

Its three glass domes and 15-meter-high interior waterfall offer incredible natural light for any portrait. It’s the exotic and modern touch within the Andalusian classicism of Estepona.

And after the tour? Time for a Foodie

A stroll along the seafront isn’t complete without a photo that will make your followers envious (in a good way). After exploring these spots, we look forward to welcoming you to Restaurante Abanico.
